God has a sense of humor...

and He isn't always logical. At least not like we are. Logically Blake and I decided we were done having children. Two was a good round number, comfortable. It was enough for us to make things permanent with Blake's surgery. I wonder really just how many couples have found out they were pregnant before the man even had the surgery. Maybe that's just how God works. What is even more of a testament to God's working is the fact that Blake originally had his surgery scheduled a few weeks earlier, who knows if we would be EXPECTING OUR THIRD CHILD if that would have happened. And the timing! Our baby is due May 14th, right at the end of the school year! So we will have all summer!

We're happy. We're humbled. We're in shock! We need a bigger house and car. I'm only 9 weeks and already have a little belly.

Current craving: Warm banana pudding (with wafers and bananas).

More to come, maybe the story of the evening I realized I was pregnant...

Wow. Congratulations! It's sounds like it's exactly the way that God intended it to be. No wonder you told a class to shut up (or something like that) They better not be messing with a pregnant mama!

Wow! What a surprise Shelly! Sometimes God's plan and our plans don't match up, but His are always the best. Three is a great number. Congrats!

I am excited for you. I would love to hear the story about the night you realized you were pregnant; should be interesting. I would like to switch stories about Hondorus, too. It was a humbling place to go and so beautiful in the mountain area we were in.

Okay - wait - hold up! The day I've thought to myself,"gee, I haven't blogged or read Shelly's blog lately (cheer+golf+bazaar=busy Dayna), I wonder how she's doing with the new teaching gig, etc. My sister was one of those surprises - adad's surgery soon followed the announcement. Paula Dean has a great banana pudding recipe - Not Yo Mamma's banana puddin - it's on the Food Network site. It will definitely satisfy that craving!

Congratulations!!
